A lovely original vintage poster published by “Cestujte lodni Spolecnosti "Adratica" – Benatki” (Adriatica Line from Venice) to promote sailing trips in the Adriatic and Aegean Sea in the Mediterranean.
This is the Czech version of the poster depicting a colorful rendering of a young woman saluting from upper deck. From the text you can see ports of call in Dalmatia Croatia, Albania, Rhodes Greece and Egypt.
The "Adriatic shipping company" was established in Venice in 1932. The Company's flag was formed by the union of the symbols of the cities of Venice and Bari: the winged lion of San Marco, also shown on the chimneys of all ships, on a white and red background, traditional colors of the city of Bari.
The poster is in good condition. Small age wear. Minor faults are professionally repaired and mounted in linen.
