This is a stunning original vintage airline poster designed by Alan Solon to promote "Lignes Farman - Les Grands Express Aériens (Farman Lines - The Great Air Express)". The poster design indicates it's faster to travel by air than rail depicting an airplane in the air and just shadows of a train.

Les Lignes Farman was created in 1919, when a Farman F.60 Goliath flew from Toussus-le-Noble to Kenley, near Croydon. The airline was created by the Farman brothers and operated on Western Europe.

Farman would later become Société Générale de Transport Aérien merged with Air Union to become Air France in 1933. airThe designer Albert Solon was an illustrator and poster designer and continued to design poster for Air France.

Mounted on linen. In very good condition. A restoration of missing paper at upper right. Looks stunning!
