A rare original vintage African travel poster depicting the Cecil Square, Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia with blooming Jacaranda trees and cannas plants in the foreground.
Following the end of white-minority rule and the transformation of Rhodesia to Zimbabwe, many of the colonial place names were changed, with Cecil Square taking the name Africa Unity Square. In Harare, Zimbabwe of course.
The Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland was a federal semi-Dominion that consisted of three southern African territories—the self-governing British colony of Southern Rhodesia and the British protectorates of Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland—between 1953 and 1963.
The poster is in very good condition. Note the size.
