This is a wonderful and very early poster issued by SAS Scandinavian Airlines System and could possible be the first SAS poster.
The poster is designed by the ad agency Allmänna Annonsbyrån AB founed by Bengt Rumert who also designed the first SAS Logo.
You find the same illustration on a 1947 timetable designed by Allmänna Annonsbyrån AB. In the timetable you can see the airports off call on the way to South America: Stockholm - Copenhagen - Geneva Lisbon - Dakar - Natal - Rio de Janeiro - Montevideo - Buenos Aires. Departing Stockholm 08:15 on a Saturday and Arriving Buenos Aires on Monday 17:50.
