This is an Authentic Original Vintage Poster from its time. It's not a new reproduction.
This a wonderful and rare poster designed by Benjamin (Ben) Blessum to promote Norway as a summer destination. Blessum emigrated from Norway 11 years old with his family. From 1923 to his retirement in 1936, he was the representative for the Norwegian State Railways in New York.
The poster is issued by Norwegian State Railways and depicts a cruise ship inside a Norwegian Fjord. Stunning colors in the painting. This poster is so much better “live” than on a small photo.
At the time an exclusive lithograph printed poster in 9 colors.
Missing lower left corner. Rips, cracks and tears are conserved when mounted on linen. This is good chance to acquire Norwegian travel history at a low cost.
