Description:

A lovely original vintage poster promoting "BOAC Speedbird Routes across the world. Britain - Far East by the Dragon Service".

The Speedbird is the stylised emblem of a bird in flight designed in 1932 by Theyre Lee-Elliott as the corporate logo for Imperial Airways. The term "Speedbird" is still the call sign for British Airways.

Text at bottom: British Overseas Airways Corporation in Association with Qantas Empire Airways Limited - South African Airways - Tasman Empire Airways Limited

This is the large French version. In good condition. Wear at edges, small tears, foxing. Mounted on linen. Would look great framed.

This is an Authentic Original Vintage Poster from its time. It's not a new reproduction.
