This is a wonderful original vintage Swedish travel poster issued to promote the Jämtland landscape in the middle of Sweden.
The poster depicts a colorful rendering by Kjell depicting attractions like Tännforsen Sweden's largest waterfall, the lovely Old Church in Åre, blooming fields and majestic mountains. In front "Jämtlandsälgen", the Jämtland Moose.
Jämtland is renowned for its association with the moose, which is a widely recognized symbol of the region. In 1955, a wooden moose sculpture, known as Jämtälgen, was created after Östersunds-Posten newspaper organized a design contest to discover a suitable memento for Jämtland. Kalle Berglund's pine moose design emerged victorious in the competition.
Text at bottom in Swedish: "Mountains, waterfalls, forests and cultural heritage in the middle of Sweden"
