This is a lovely original vintage poster issued by Iberia to promote flights to Mallorca, Spain. From the cold and damp northern countries... ...to Mallorca the enchanting island of the sun.
Iberia founded in 1927 is the flag carrier airline of Spain.
The poster depicts an arrow pointing at sunny Mallorca with blue sea, palm trees and a Lockheed Super Constellation in flight on its way to warmer days. The coolest aircraft!
"Niña", "Pinta", and "Santa Maria" were the names given to the Iberia's three Super Constellations. The first flight was on the 460th anniversary of the start of Columbus famous voyage.
