This original vintage Spanish Distance vision test poster hails from the 1930s and was issued by the Dirección General de Sanidad.
Functioning as an ophthalmology and optometry eye test chart, it serves to assess sight and vision for individuals experiencing eyesight issues. Printed with "escala de Dr. Marquez" in the lower left corner, the poster includes a test at the lower part cautioning that a child unable to see the last line at the appropriate distance should undergo examination by a specialist. The test should be conducted separately for each eye, covering or closing the opposite one.
Despite its age, the poster is in good condition, though it shows signs of aging and being stored rolled, with noticeable dirt, crumbles, and discoloration along the margins.
