This a wonderful original antique poster issued to promote the dance hall "Folies Caprices" in Stockholm, Sweden.
Folies Caprices (Novilla) is a building on Södra Djurgården in Stockholm, built in 1833 as a dance hall called Vauxhallen. Over the years, Novilla had many functions, the heyday was in the 1860s and a few decades on. You can find several articles about Folies Caprices in the Swedish newspapers during the 1910's and 1920's. The building is today called Novilla and is a part of Skansen, Stockholm, the world’s oldest open-air museum.
A rare piece of history. It's rare to find antique posters in this condition. Light age wear.
