This is a magnificent original vintage airline poster issued by SAS in 1996 to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. SAS Scandinavian Airlines System was founded on August 1, 1946, as a result of a cooperation agreement between the three Scandinavian airlines Svensk Interkontinental Lufttrafik AB, Det Danske Luftfartselskab, and Det Norske Luftfartselskap. With a rich history spanning over five decades, SAS is recognized as one of the world's most prominent airlines.
The poster, designed by Anne-Ma Solheim & Trond Nordahl, features lovely colorful artistic designs representing the 50th Anniversary and SAS destinations in Norway. These posters were produced as serigraph prints, utilizing 6-7 colors, on high-quality art paper and disseminated to all SAS sales offices in Norway.
TRD refers to Trondheim Airport, Værnes, a public airport operated by Avinor that serves both domestic and international flights. It is the fourth-busiest airport in Norway and an important hub for connecting flights to other destinations in the region. It is important to note that the poster is in very good condition, with only light wear.
In conclusion, this original vintage airline poster is a valuable piece of SAS history. The lovely designs, combined with the TRD International Airport Codes, make it a must-have for aviation enthusiasts and collectors alike.
