Presenting an exquisite vintage Aerotransport Swedish Airlines poster designed by the renowned artist Anders Beckman. The poster features an illustration of the SE-ABA Lappland, a Fokker F.XXII airliner from the 1930s, capable of carrying up to 22 passengers.
Unfortunately, the Lappland crashed in 1936 at Bulltofta Airport, while attempting an emergency landing following a triple engine failure, resulting in the loss of one life among the 13 people on board.
This particular poster is a rare find, as it has never been used and is still in its original state before any additional text was added. The final version of the poster would have included the text "6 hours from London by the Scandinavian Air Express via Amsterdam. Royal Dutch Air Lines KLM and Aerotransport."
Despite its age, the poster is in great condition, with only a small tear at the bottom and a tiny missing piece at the top margin. This exceptional 1930s airline poster would make a great addition to any vintage art collection and would look stunning when framed and displayed.
