During 1925, Nordiska Flygrederiet, a subsidiary of Deutsche Aero Lloyd, introduced air travel between Stockholm and Danzig via Kalmar, utilizing the impressive Dornier Wal flying boats. Notably, the inaugural journey included the esteemed passenger Folke Bernadotte.
