Presenting an original vintage poster from the Tomelilla exhibition in 1927, featuring Gunnars Asplund's iconic landmark, the warehouse in Tomelilla. Yngve Andrén played a pivotal role in organizing the exhibition, which encompassed an agricultural meeting, aviation day, car race, and an extensive display of contemporary Scanian and Swedish visual art. Notably, the renowned sculptor Carl Milles was a prominent participant, showcasing around 25 of his works.
In the 1920s, Tomelilla gained cultural prominence with events such as craft exhibitions, village fairs, the establishment of the Tomelilla art collection, and the grand Tomelilla exhibition in 1927. This period solidified Tomelilla as a cultural center, laying the foundation for Österlen as a cultural concept.
While the poster is in almost good condition, showcasing signs of age wear like a tape stain at the bottom, small tears, edge wear, and scratches, it would look exceptional when framed and preserved. A unique and historical piece, capturing the cultural vibrancy of Tomelilla in the 1920s.
