This vintage poster is an authentic antique, over a century old, originally created to promote the 1914 "Skånska Jubileums Landtbruksmöte" (Scanian Jubilee Agricultural Meeting) held in Malmö, Sweden, in conjunction with the 1914 Baltic Exhibition.
In Sweden, "Landtbruksmöte" referred to a general assembly where agricultural matters were discussed, and it also served as an exhibition to showcase livestock, agricultural products, secondary industries, tools, and farming aids, thus promoting the agricultural industry.
The 23rd Scanian provincial agricultural meeting, known as the 1914 Scanian jubilee agricultural meeting, was organized by the Scanian Housekeeping Association, a union of the Malmöhus and Kristianstad county housekeeping societies. This event commemorated the societies' 100th anniversary since receiving their charter from the Swedish King in 1814. The agricultural meeting attracted a significant number of participants from Scania's rural population and offered various attractions, including animal and machinery exhibitions, a historical exhibition, a demonstration field, a greenhouse, nurseries, a forest exhibition, and individual pavilions.
The poster is in fair condition, it shows signs of age wear, small tears, margin wear, small holes at the top, and minor paper loss. The paper is delicate, emphasizing the poster's historical value. It would be a delightful addition to any collection when framed.
