This stunning vintage poster, crafted and released in 1932 by the esteemed poster designer Anders Beckman, exemplifies the captivating allure of Swedish Art Deco style.
The poster features a chic woman enjoying the refreshing water at Porla Brunn in Sweden. Porla Brunn has been a spa destination since the 1700s, renowned for its healing spring water. Many notable Swedes, including Selma Lagerlof, have benefited from its therapeutic properties. The spring water, known as Porlavatten, was bottled at the Porla water factory from the early 1920s until recent years and is now available through water vending machines in various workplaces and public spaces.
The text at the bottom of the poster promotes Porla Brunn as a destination for rest, recreation, slimming regimes, and the treatment of gastrointestinal, metabolic, and blood diseases.
In very good condition, this poster exhibits light wear from storage, some dirt, and fresh colors. There is slight discoloration at the upper right corner. Professionally mounted on linen, it has never been hung and awaits its moment to shine on display.
