This is an original vintage poster with an efficient and simple design by I. Axelsson, marking the launch of the second Defense Loan on January 15, 1941, which raised approximately SEK 610 million.
The poster features anti-aircraft guns aimed skyward against a blue background, with bold yellow typography. The design effectively conveys its message. This is one of five posters created for this initiative.
The Defense Loan consisted of three bond loans launched by the Swedish government during 1940-42 to fund defense upgrades during World War II. This authentic poster represents the second iteration in 1941.
The poster is in very good condition, with only two tiny tears, making it a valuable piece of history.
