GKSS Lotteri för Hamnbygget

This original vintage poster, issued in 1928, was created to promote the GKSS (Göteborgs Kungl. Segelsällskap) lottery, which aimed to raise funds for "Hamnbygget" (harbor construction). The successful fundraising efforts enabled the society to expedite the harbor construction, culminating in the completion of the pier and feeder jetty in Långedrag.

Founded in 1860, GKSS has grown into one of Sweden's largest sports clubs, with a primary focus on sailing. The club actively participates in racing, training, and education, emphasizing the development of both young sailors and adults seeking to enhance their skills.
