Ribe Denmark

This original vintage Ribe, Denmark travel poster from 1949 presents one of Denmark's oldest and most historic towns. Designed by Spliid, the colorful composition features a family of white storks nesting above the red-tiled roofs of Ribe, with the monumental towers of Ribe Cathedral rising prominently in the background.

Storks were once a familiar sight in Ribe and became closely associated with the town and its historic rooftops. The combination of nesting birds, medieval architecture, lush green trees and warm red roofs creates an especially charming image of this old Danish town.

A beautiful and highly decorative example of post-war Danish tourism advertising, combining Ribe's cultural heritage with one of its traditional symbols.

In good condition. Some small tears at the bottom have been mended with archival tape.
