Swedish American Line was a passenger and cargo shipping line. It was founded in December 1914 under the name Rederiaktiebolaget Sverige-Nordamerika, beginning ocean liner service from Gothenburg to New York in 1915. The poster is featuring the M.V. Kungsholm built in 1928 by Blohm and Voss, Hamburg.

Great art deco poster design by Rodmell. Harry Hudson Rodmell was an English painter and Commercial artist, specializing in marine art. He studied at Hull School of Art. He has designed several ocean liner posters.
