A cool Swiss railroad poster promoting Switzerland as a country with All-Electric Trains everywhere. The poster depicts the Eglisau railway bridge across the river Rhine in Switzerland.
The designer, Otto Baumberger, was one of the first Swiss graphic artists to have a career that responds to the occupational title of “poster designer”. He acquired a thorough knowledge of lithographic technique and designed more than two hundred posters. Baumberger was far ahead of his time in recognizing fundamental aspects of consumer goods advertising.
The poster has been folded but looks good. This the Dutch version.
