A stunning original vintage travel poster designed my master Baumberger. Baumberger was one of the first Swiss graphic artists to have a career that responds to the occupational title of “poster designer”. He acquired a thorough knowledge of lithographic technique and designed more than two hundred posters. Baumberger was far ahead of his time in recognizing fundamental aspects of consumer goods advertising. This is a masterpiece,
The poster promotes Davos Parsenn, a famous ski area in Switzerland. The funicular was built in 1931, and the line links the town of Davos with the Weissfluhjoch ridge and the Parsenn ski area.
In excellent condition, just some minor edge wear. Would look stunning framed. Great image. Fresh colors. Love this poster!
