This is an incredible lovely original vintage poster issues by YWCA in NYC, USA. The is poster designed by the well-known Lucile Patterson Marsh a prominent illustrator during the 1920s to 1950s.
A wonderful poster depicting two women playing as partners in the game of doubles tennis probably in the 1920's.
YWCA USA was founded as the Young Women's Christian Association in New York City in 1858, based on an idea developed in London a few years earlier. Their mission was to provide a haven for young women — both U.S. and foreign-born — by offering safe housing and educational resources. The organization filled an important void in 19th Century New York and quickly grew.
Just love it! Mounted on linen. In excellent condition. A very rare poster.
