Description:

This is a striking original vintage travel poster issued by the Australian National travel Association to promote travel to Australia using the phrase "Ninety Years of Progress" and depicting a busy scene of Collin Street in Melbourne filled with wonderful cars.

Collins Street is a major street in the center of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It was laid out in the first survey of Melbourne, the original 1837 Hoddle Grid, and soon became the most desired address in the city.

The Australian National Travel Association was founded in 1929 and this is the fourth poster they produced.

Color lithograph, printed text to lower border: "Poster No. 4 produced by Northfield Studios and J. E. Hackett Melb. Australia."

A very rare poster to find,

Linen backed, restoration of 2 cracks at lower right. Looks stunning!
