A lovely original vintage poster issued in 1952 to promote sea voyages to Finland from Sweden.
Text: Tag sjövägen till Finland - (Take the sea route to Finland)
The poster depicts a little sensual mermaid luring us to travel from Stockholm to Helsinki.
In 1918, the same year that the First World War ended, Ångfartygs AB Bore together with FÅA, Finska Ångfartygs AB, and Rederi AB Svea started a so-called joint sailing between Stockholm and Turku. The first year-round line for passenger traffic between the Swedish capital and the neighboring country to the east has been started.
In good condition. Dirt, small tears and discoloration. Would look great framed.
