This is an original vintage railway poster published by Chemins de fer de Paris à Orléans et du Midi promoting the "Ligne de Dax à Mont-de-Marsan". The Chemins de fer de Paris à Orléans et du Midi lasted from 1934 to 1937.
The French word Autorail describes a single powered railcar capable of carrying passengers.
A lovely rendering by Hugon depicting a locomotive driver in his cab meeting another train at full speed.
At the lower right a timetable shows that a train ride from Dax to Mont-de-Marsan takes 13 hours 15 minutes.
In overall very good condition with light wear, some crumbles and small edge tears. Would look nice framed. Mounted on thin linen many years ago.
