This is a lovely authentic original vintage advertising poster issued by BOAC to promote India as a flight destination.
British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) was the British state-owned airline created in 1940 by the merger of Imperial Airways and British Airways Ltd. BOAC and BEA merged in 1974 forming today’s British Airways.
The poster designed by the British painter and illustrator Frank Wootton (1911-1998) depicts a colorful elephant parade in front of a white palace building somewhere in India.
A colorful poster with a great atmosphere. In very good condition. Some minor wear. Repaired tear at bottom. Would look stunning framed!
