This vintage poster is an original, authentic promotion for the 10th "Djurgårdsmässan" Fair at Skansen, Stockholm, Sweden, held in May 1944. The poster's design features a wonderful scene in shades of blue, with six smiling, theater-like faces. It captures the essence of the fair's lively atmosphere, with carousels and lottery booths offering entertainment to visitors of all ages.
Skansen, where the fair was held, is the first open-air museum and zoo in Sweden, founded in 1891. Today, the Djurgårdsmässan foundation provides financial support to people over 65 who are members or former members of the Stage & Film Trade Union. Originally, only actors were covered, but the foundation has expanded to support all who have been artistically active, thanks to the efforts of former colleagues.
The poster's colors are fresh and bright, though there are some water stains on the left and right sides, which are not very noticeable. This vintage poster is a unique and genuine piece of Swedish cultural history.
