This authentic poster from the 1950s was created to advertise "Ideal," a Norwegian flatbread that is commonly served alongside dishes such as "Lapskaus," "Spekemat", "Kjøttkaker," and various soups. Made with a mixture of wholemeal rye flour, wholemeal wheat flour, and wheat flour, Ideal flatbread was first baked by Emil Nordby in Hamar in 1924.
The poster features the text "Ideal flatbread in star class" and is printed in three colors using the silkscreen technique. It is in excellent condition and is a testament to the enduring popularity of this beloved Norwegian food.
