This vintage poster, dating back to 1928, proudly presents Uddevalla, Sweden, as "The Exhibition City by the Western Sea." It serves as the official poster for the 1928 Uddevalla Exhibition.
In the year 1928, a group of industrialists and trade representatives felt that the time was right to showcase their products at an exhibition. This grand event was inaugurated on Friday, June 15th, and unfolded in the picturesque meadows situated between Skansberget and the harbor station. Principal Thelander served as the architect responsible for the exhibition's design, while car director Axel Lange held the position of chairman of the exhibition committee.
The poster features an intriguing image of a hand reaching into the exhibition's minarets, grasping what appears to be a statue designed by Constantin Meunier, known as "The Dock Labourer".
This poster remains in excellent condition, making it a rare and highly sought-after piece for collectors and enthusiasts.
