This in an original vintage lithograpic travel poster, designed by Christenson to promote Hälsingborg, Sweden, as a travel destination.
The poster features a delightful rendering of the Kärnan Tower, a medieval structure in Helsingborg, Scania, in southern Sweden. It depicts the town with its beach and landscape extending towards Mölle, with sailboats in the background. The Kärnan Tower is the only remaining part of a larger Danish fortress that, along with the fortress Kronborg on the opposite side of Øresund, controlled the entrance between Kattegat and Øresund, leading further south to the Baltic Sea.
The poster is in very good condition, with only a tiny piece of the left margin missing and light age wear. The colors remain vibrant and striking.
