This authentic vintage poster, skillfully designed by Professor Olle Hjortzberg, serves as a promotional piece for the 1927 "Bygge och Bo" Exhibition. The exhibition spanned across three different venues in Stockholm: Äppelviken Bromma, Stadshuset, and Liljevalchs Konstall.
Notably, Professor Olle Hjortzberg, a distinguished Swedish painter and illustrator, is remembered for his iconic design of the 1912 Stockholm Olympic poster.
The Äppelviken Bromma venue featured a showcase of modern villas designed by seven selected architects. These architects, each contributing between three and seven villas, collectively built 29 villas for the exhibition. The inauguration of the exhibition was graced by King Gustaf V, along with Princes Carl and Eugen and Princesses Ingeborg and Märtha.
Despite showing several signs of age wear, including folds, margin tears, scratches, small holes and dirt, the poster retains a captivating quality. When framed it would add charm to any collection and endure as a noteworthy artifact from the 1927 exhibition.
