Description:

This is an original vintage Danish poster issued in 1943 during wartime to alert the public to the dangers of handling abandoned ammunition and unexploded bombs. The poster visually illustrates a variety of hazardous objects, including bullets, grenades, and bombs, underscoring the message to avoid touching such items.

It was produced by *Justitsministeriets Propagandaudvalg* (the Ministry of Justice's Propaganda Committee), which played a crucial role in public safety campaigns in Denmark during the 1940s. At that time, the word "propaganda" was used in a neutral sense, referring to public information or awareness campaigns.

The text on the poster reads:
"Livsfare Rør dem ikke. Dette er Eksempler paa særlig farlig Ammunition. Finder De Genstande, der ligner disse eller blot Ting, der minder derom saa lad dem ligge. Rør dem ikke, heller ikke med en Pind, kast ikke Sten paa dem, men giv øjeblikkelig Meddelelse til nærmeste Politi- eller Luftværnsmyndighed."
(Translation: "Danger! Do not touch. These are examples of especially dangerous ammunition. If you find objects that resemble these or things that look similar, leave them alone. Do not touch them, not even with a stick, do not throw stones at them, but immediately notify the nearest police or air raid authority.")

The poster is in very good condition, with pinholes, fold marks, vibrant colors, and light wear, maintaining its historical significance.
