Nordiskt Missionsflyg was started in 1945. They leased a plane in the begining before they bought a Douglas C-53 Skytrooper from USAAF. The plane was named Ansgar with an aircraft registration SE-APG. The maiden flight was to Dar-es-Salaam in East Africa in 1946.
The plane went to AB Aerotransport in 1948 and then to Scandinavian Airlines System 1949. SAS named the aircraft “Gran Viking”. The plane has an interesting story and is today in South Africa: http://www.dc-3.co.za/dc-3-individual-aircraft-history/cn-11746.html
