Text on the poster: Australia has many animals that are also native to other countries. But she has some that are completely indigenous to her own wide lands. Among them are the kangaroo, with its pouch for its young and its queer hind leggedgait; the emu, a bird almost as large as the ostrich, which can run amazingly fast but cannot fly; the platypus, a truly remarkable animal that lives in the water and on land, lays eggs, and suckles its young; and the koala, the children's favorite, which eats only eucalyptus leaves and never drinks. Australia is a country full of such animal oddities.
A small tear is repaird. Mounted on linen.
