A wonderful and extremely rare original vintage travel poster promoting “Norway for Winter Sport”. A lovely rendering of two women ski outfits of the time.
Daily Service B&N Line Steamers from Newcastle-on-Tyne in connection with Norwegian State Railways.
The Bergen Steamship Company, founded in 1851, had sailings for passengers between Bergen in Norway and Newcastle from 1890, summer and winter. To encourage business in winter, they set up the British Norwegian Ski Club over here as a national club, offering club members discounts on travel on their ships.
In very good condition. Mounted on linen with some minor repairs.
