This is an Authentic Original Vintage Poster from its time. It's not a new reproduction.
This is a glamorous original authentic poster issued by P&O Cruises to promote their cruises to the Mediterranean and Norway with the steamship S.S. Ranchi.
The S.S. Ranchi began yearly cruises to Norway shortly after her launch in 1925. In 1928, this same image appeared as a magazine ad in Punch, which helps us date the poster.
The poster depicts "one of Ranchi's Sports Decks" crowded with travelers enjoying the activities on their voyage to new destinations.
In good condition with repaired tears, creases, abrasions and overpainting in margins and image and along vertical and horizontal folds. Mounted on linen. A lovely and very rare poster!
