A fantastic original vintage airline poster issued by Qantas Airways in the late 1950's to promote their routes to Japan.
This poster designed by Harry Roger depicts a stunning rendering of the Japanese rooster Onagadori and a silhouette of an airplane in the sky.
The Onagadori, in Japanese meaning "honorable fowl" as well as " long tail fowl" is one of the rarest chicken breeds on earth. Onagadori is kept for ornamental purposes only and was designated a Japanese national natural treasure in 1952.
Qantas Airways Limited is the flag carrier of Australia and its largest airline. Founded in 1920 it's the third-oldest airline in the world, after KLM and Avianca.
In excellent condition.
