This is a spectacular original vintage travel poster from the early 1900’s issued by SBB (Schweizerische Bundesbahnen) To promote train rides to Adelboden.
Designed by the Italian painter and illustrator Carlo Pellegrini who won the gold medal at the 1912 Stockholm Olympic Games in the Art Competitions!
The poster depicts a couple sitting on a cliff overlooking the valley of Adelboden pointing a sight of interest. Mountains and waterfalls in the background.
Great fresh color inks. The poster has never been used but has issues from being stored. Creased edges, tiny tears, discoloration.
Would look stunning framed.
